QC Inspector 2 - AOI - Day Shift

Job Title: QC Inspector – AOI Location: Newark, CA. Job Summary The QC Inspector – AOI operates the AOI machine, performs quality inspections using AOI, and provides AOI support. Reports to Quality Engineering Manager. Primary Job Responsibilities Operate the AOI and support line activities. Review AOI inspections for accurate, consistent detection of component placement and solder joint defects. Collaborate with processing and engineering teams to improve visual defect yields. Inspect components or feature chips, ICs, joints, text, connectors, etc., using the AOI according to IPC-A-610 standards. Read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, MPI, ECN, Deviation and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection. Load AOI programs per instructions. Perform AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste, component placement, and solder joint defect. Assist engineers in data collection and engineering evaluations. Document defects. Inspect per IPC-A-610 standards using a microscope. Support improvement initiatives and actively participate in improving work environment (5S). Other duties and responsibilities related to AOI Support and Production as assigned. Required Education & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience operating AOI equipment. High School Diploma. IPC-A-610 Certification. Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and ESD.
