Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, developing a keen understanding of their mental health landscape.

• Collaborate with clients to design individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, aspirations, and preferences, ensuring a personalized approach to therapy.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to foster meaningful change and emotional regulation in clients.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, exploring treatment options and encouraging effective self-care practices for ongoing wellness.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to address evolving needs and ensuring the highest standard of care.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that encompasses all aspects of the client's mental and physical health.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advances in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic strategies and promote improved client outcomes.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, prioritizing client safety and privacy.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to foster knowledge sharing and growth among staff.

• Advocate for the mental health needs of clients and contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing stigma associated with mental health diagnoses.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adults and families experiencing a variety of mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, you may encounter clients from vulnerable populations, including individuals facing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your empathetic and nonjudgmental approach will be critical in building trust and facilitating open communication with these clients as they navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field is essential.
