Ez Health is hiring Patient Advocates to stand in the corner of older adults as they deal with the healthcare system, sort out day-to-day hurdles, and get the support they deserve. In this phone-based role, you'll be the person who speaks up for your clients and helps them get what they need. The healthcare system is hard to navigate. Many seniors are managing doctor visits, prescriptions, specialist referrals, rides, insurance questions, and more all at once. They often know something isn't working but aren't sure who to call or what to ask for. As a Patient Advocate, you'll be their steady point of contact. You'll dig into what's really happening, figure out the right next move, and stick with it until it's handled. This is not a high-volume call center job. Your caseload will usually be about 20 clients or fewer. That gives you room to learn each person's situation, earn their trust, and keep supporting them as their needs change. What you'll do Reaching out to older adults by phone on a regular basis to see how things are going Paying close attention and asking thoughtful questions to uncover what each client needs Helping clients prepare for doctor visits and making sure they know what comes next afterward Breaking down healthcare details, benefits, referrals, and action steps into plain language Working with physician offices, pharmacies, insurers, and local community organizations on your clients' behalf Arranging rides, prescriptions, meal support, and other practical needs Looking into available options and problem-solving when something gets in a client's way Keeping clear notes on each conversation, what the client needs, and what's been agreed on Tracking open items and following up until every issue is closed out Who we're looking for A healthcare background is a plus, but you don't need one to apply. What matters most to us is strong communication, sound judgment, genuine care for people, and a track record of getting things done.
