Job Title: HR Consultant
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a HR Consultant to join our client to support day to day human resources operations and strengthen employee relations across a growing non union workforce. This role focuses on partnering with leadership to address workplace concerns, guide performance management, and ensure consistent compliance with employment regulations. The consultant will also help improve internal processes and enhance overall workplace effectiveness. This is a remote position supporting Central Jersey with occasional local meetings in Red Bank, NJ.
Compensation:
$35-40 per hour
Work Schedule:
10 to 15 hours per week on an as needed basis with a flexible schedule, which may include one full day or multiple partial days, with some weeks up to 2 days
Key Responsibilities of the HR Consultant:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee concerns, performance management, and workplace conflict resolution while fostering a positive work environment
• Lead employee investigations, provide fair recommendations, and support appropriate disciplinary actions and documentation
• Partner with management to improve workforce planning, scheduling alignment, and overall team efficiency
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and collaborate with legal or compliance partners on more complex situations
• Review current human resources policies and procedures, identify gaps, and recommend practical process improvements

Qualifications and Skills for the HR Consultant:

• Proven experience in human resources with a strong focus on employee relations and workplace investigations
• Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment regulations with the ability to apply them in real world scenarios
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and influence leadership effectively
• Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and sound judgment
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and organizational change efforts
