Step into a dynamic educational setting as a Special Education Paraprofessional, providing essential one-on-one and classroom support for students across K-12 grades. In this contract role starting August 13, 2026, and concluding May 27, 2027, you’ll work 30 hours each week, Monday through Friday, making a daily difference for students with diverse learning needs.
Your background should reflect compassion and adaptability, alongside a strong commitment to collaboration and professionalism. Successful candidates will bring their expertise and patience to both individualized and group settings, ensuring every student feels supported on their educational journey.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Empathy, patience, and an inclusive approach to engaging with students of varying abilities and needs
- Effective verbal and written communication for working closely with teachers, specialists, and families
- Skill in executing behavior support plans and applying positive behavior intervention techniques aligned with established guidelines
- Experience modifying and reinforcing lessons under the direction of credentialed educators
- Flexibility to adapt to different classroom dynamics and evolving student requirements
- Unwavering respect for confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct
- Strong organizational skills to meticulously support progress monitoring and data collection
- Ability to follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide meaningful assistance toward students’ academic, behavioral, and social goals
