We're seeking a dedicated ParaEducator for a contract position assisting students in a Resource Specialized Program classroom. This rewarding opportunity immerses you in the vibrant atmosphere of a K-6 elementary school, providing vital classroom and small-group support to help students thrive.
Working full-time (30 hours weekly), you’ll collaborate closely with teaching staff, supporting both in-class activities and specialized “pull-out” learning experiences. The assignment runs through the end of the school year, with potential scheduling based on either pre-K or elementary program needs.
Qualifications:
- Prior paraprofessional/paraeducator experience highly desirable
- Background supporting early childhood or elementary-aged students is a plus
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine interest in student success
- Adaptability to assist with both classroom activities and smaller group interventions
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom assistance tailored to individual and small group needs
- Support specialized instruction within a Resource Specialized Program
- Assist teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks
- Help facilitate “pull-out” sessions for targeted learning
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere for all students
