Dental Front Desk Business Assistant

Greet patients warmly by name and provide a professional, personal introduction to the office.
Assist patients in completing intake forms and ensure all demographic and clinical information is accurate and up-to-date.
Obtain and verify patient insurance details promptly and accurately.
Educate patients on next steps; seamlessly hand off patients to dental assistants or clinicians.
Monitor patient wait times, proactively resolving flow issues and communicating with patients to enhance their experience.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure patient visits exceed expectations and take corrective actions when necessary.
Support onboarding and training of new front office team members.
Update treatment plans in the company system as directed by the treating dentist; process and post patient payments.
Work closely with the Office Manager and Doctors to optimize scheduling and patient flow.
Track late arrivals and missed appointments; follow-up with patients to confirm or reschedule appointments promptly.
Conduct daily appointment confirmations and insurance verifications using the office computer system.
Perform general office duties including mail distribution, filing, chart audits, ordering supplies, shipping and receiving, and shredding protected health information.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional reception and waiting area, including patient entrances and restrooms.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support office operations.

full-time $35,500 - $45,700 per year

Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

High school diploma or GED required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to walk, stand, talk, and work on a computer for extended periods.

1 to 3 years of dental front desk or receptionist experience strongly preferred.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software highly preferred.
