Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct detailed evaluations of patients suffering from various chronic pain conditions. This includes thorough reviews of medical histories, physical examinations, and assessments of pain levels to establish a baseline for treatment.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop personalized pain management plans. Integrate various treatment modalities including medication management, physical therapy, and interventional procedures to create comprehensive care strategies.
• Patient Education: Provide in-depth education to patients regarding their conditions and available treatment options. Empower patients by discussing pain management techniques that can enhance their quality of life and encourage active participation in their care.
• Procedural Assistance: Work closely with attending physicians to assist in performing pain management procedures, such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections. Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout these procedures.
• Follow-up Care: Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, employing appropriate assessments and interventions to adjust treatment plans as necessary. Offer ongoing counseling and support to patients navigating their pain management journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients experiencing chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathy, and post-surgical pain. Our diverse client base encompasses individuals from various backgrounds and ages, which requires a tailored and empathetic approach to care that respects each patient’s unique story and circumstances.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant in Texas.
• Certification in Pain Management or a related specialty is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members is essential.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering compassionate care and improving patient outcomes is a must.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in pain management or a related healthcare field, showcasing skills in managing complex cases.
