Accountant IWork Model: You'll work in a hybrid model, onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least 3 days per week (Monday–Thursday), with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days, including Friday.The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's accounting processes in accordance with GAAP. This role contributes to the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and compliance, while ensuring the integrity of financial data and supporting business decision-making.This role works closely with both Finance and Operations to ensure accurate data, timely reporting, and visibility into manufacturing performance. The position focuses on data accuracy, analysis, and execution, while helping identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Essential FunctionsPrepare and post journal entries to the general ledgerPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesSupport the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and results are accurate Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accountsAssist with preparation of financial statements and internal reportsAnalyze financial data and provide variance explanationsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as neededMaintain proper documentation and audit trails for all accounting activitiesIdentify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiencyPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedAssist with cycle count processes, including coordination with operations and review of count resultsSupport the excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory review process, including data preparation and analysisInvestigate and help resolve discrepancies in inventory, production, and cost dataPrepare and distribute routine reports to support operations and finance teamsAssist with documentation and improvement of accounting processes and reporting toolsPerform other duties as assigned.
