DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role supports Driver and Vehicle Services by analyzing system issues, guiding enhancements, and coordinating testing to ensure applications function properly. As a Business Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties:
- System Analysis: Evaluate system performance, document business needs, and identify process improvements
- Test Coordination: Develop testing plans, create scripts, and oversee defect tracking for application updates
- Project Support: Plan project tasks, gather requirements, and communicate progress to leadership
- Supervisory Duties: Lead staff responsible for testing, documentation, and issue analysis
- Issue Resolution: Research reported problems, document findings, and coordinate solutions with business and IT teams
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal units, vendors, and external partners to support system operations
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position may require working off-hours, including weekends, to provide release support and issue resolution.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the training period and successful performance evaluation. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Business Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of business process analysis experience; or
- One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
