Our team culture values continuous learning, professional development, and patient engagement, contributing to a fulfilling career path.Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:Design and implement individualized treatment programs aimed at relieving pain, improving mobility, and restoring functionality for a range of orthopedic conditions.Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical function, utilizing diagnostic methodologies to assess muscle strength, joint mobility, and overall physical performance.Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions, ensuring that care plans are executed with precision and adherence to best practices.Educate clients and their families regarding proper care techniques and the use of rehabilitation devices, fostering an environment of understanding and empowerment.Participate as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team by contributing to case conferences, collaboratively developing and revising patient care plans, and sharing insights to enhance treatment outcomes.Maintain comprehensive documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge instructions, to uphold compliance with regulatory requirements.Assess and recommend modifications for prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians to optimize client outcomes.Continuous evaluation of patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment approaches based on client feedback and observation.Patient Population / Client FocusYou will be working primarily with individuals dealing with orthopedic injuries or conditions requiring rehabilitation post-surgery, trauma, or chronic pain. You will engage with each patient to establish trust, understanding their unique journey towards recovery.QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.Current Physical Therapy license in Florida, in good standing.Certification in CPR and adherence to all healthcare regulations.Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous professional development.Preferred ExperienceWhile one year of experience in a physical therapy setting is required, candidates with additional expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation, home care, or acute care will be favored.
