Windows Systems Administrator

Our client is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise Windows infrastructure in a fast-paced financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. This is a hybrid position based in Fairfield County, CT.

Windows Systems Administrator's Responsibilities and Duties:

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments across production and non-production systems
• Manage and support Active Directory, including user provisioning, group policies, and directory services
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and streamline operations
• Perform routine patching, updates, and maintenance on Windows Servers in a production environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve server and infrastructure issues, escalating as needed
• Support Citrix virtual desktop and application delivery environments (nice to have)
• Assist with monitoring and log analysis using Splunk or similar tools (nice to have)

Windows Systems Administrator's Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 1 year of professional experience in a Windows Systems Administrator or similar role
• Hands-on experience administering Windows Server in a production environment
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and directory services management
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks
• Experience with patching, change management, and server lifecycle support
• Familiarity with Citrix and Splunk is a plus
• Financial services industry experience preferred
