Key Responsibilities\n

• Psychosocial Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments in a timely manner, utilizing your knowledge of human behavior and psychosocial factors impacting treatment outcomes, while being mindful of ethical considerations.

• Clinical Intervention: Provide supportive counseling to patients and their families, facilitate family meetings to aid decision-making on sensitive issues such as hospice care or do-not-resuscitate orders, and collaborate with case managers for effective discharge planning.

• Triage and Management: Manage a clinical caseload effectively by identifying high-risk situations, prioritizing referrals, and ensuring ongoing care coordination among your interdisciplinary team.

• Legal and Ethical Compliance: Adhere to legal and ethical standards in all assessments and interventions, ensuring that all actions adhere to Tenet Policies and established practices in social work.
\n
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records as per organizational standards, including interdisciplinary plans of care and progress notes.
\n
• In-Service Training: Provide training and educational sessions for staff on the psychosocial aspects of patient care, enhancing the capabilities of your colleagues.

• Continuous Quality Improvement: Participate in the development and analysis of indicators aimed at improving both the processes and outcomes of patient care.

• Professional Growth: Engage in continuous professional education and uphold competencies required for the role based on the hospital's standards.

• Other Duties: Participate in Social Work Month activities and cancer-specific support groups while performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical or healthcare setting, with at least 1 year focused on cancer-related care preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is USD 120,000 to 130,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
