Bring your expertise to a collaborative and supportive classroom environment as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role. You'll play a crucial part in guiding students with diverse needs to achieve their fullest potential, all within a well-structured, team-focused setting.

In this role, each week you’ll teach two sessions daily on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: a morning session from 7:45 AM to 11:00 AM working with three students, and an afternoon session from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM with four students. Wednesdays are dedicated exclusively to planning, giving you valuable time for preparing lessons, documentation, and collaborating with colleagues. Alongside you in the classroom, two dedicated paraprofessionals will support your efforts and assist students, ensuring a strong staff-to-student ratio.

Essential Qualifications:

• Current certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience designing and adapting curriculum for students with varied learning needs
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for fostering growth and independence in students
• Ability to adjust to evolving class sizes as more students are evaluated throughout the academic year

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Develop and monitor progress on student IEP goals
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams
