Make a positive impact working with middle schoolers as a Special Education Teacher focusing on Resource Math for grades 6-8. This contract position invites you to guide and support a caseload of 32 students, helping them build confidence and academic success in a collaborative, encouraging environment.

You’ll teach resource math, Monday through Friday, with consistent hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. This opportunity is perfect for educators skilled in individualized instruction who thrive on seeing their students reach new goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid special education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with middle school students preferred
• Deep understanding of math instruction for diverse learners (grades 6-8)
• Ability to manage and organize an active caseload of 32 students
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning spaces

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver resource math lessons tailored to each student’s IEP
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate student records, progress reports, and IEP documentation
• Provide ongoing support, assessment, and intervention as needed to help students achieve goals
• Attend scheduled meetings, professional development, and training sessions
• Foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment that values diversity and positive relationships
