Firstbeat works with professional and elite sports teams around the world. Our technology helps coaches use physiological data to understand athlete load, recovery and performance, and to make better-informed coaching decisions.

\n

We're looking for a Content & Communications Manager to join our marketing team. Your job is to find and tell stories that matter to coaches and sports performance professionals, and to take them from idea to finished content that reaches the right audience. 

\n

\n

We're looking for someone who sees AI as a practical tool for improving quality, efficiency and creativity, not as a trend to follow. 

\n

\n

You'll be part of a small international marketing team and report to our Head of Marketing.

\n

One day you might interview a coach and turn the conversation into a customer story and social content. Another day you could be finding the right speaker for a webinar, producing a video, or building a smarter AI-supported way to create and repurpose content.

What you'll do

\n

\n
• Create high-quality content across our channels: articles, customer stories, social media, newsletters and campaigns
\n
• Work directly with coaches, customers and sports performance professionals to uncover stories, topics and insights
\n
• Plan and deliver webinars, from identifying relevant topics and engaging speakers to coordinating production, promoting the events and repurposing the content afterward.
\n
• Develop how Firstbeat uses AI in content creation and marketing, including workflows, tools and new ways of producing and repurposing content
\n
• Contribute to PR and media activities as part of the broader marketing team
\n
• Identify partners, speakers and collaborators, and represent Firstbeat externally when needed
\n
• Create video and other multimedia content, working with internal and external resources as needed.

• Contribute to marketing more broadly when needed

What we're looking for

\n

\n
• An excellent writer and storyteller with exceptional English writing and communication skills, at native or equivalent professional level. You will be creating content for an international sports audience, so the ability to communicate naturally, accurately and engagingly in English is fundamental to the role
\n
• A strong understanding of professional sports. You know the terminology and the environment coaches work in, and you recognize what makes a topic relevant to them. You can have a credible conversation with a coach. This understanding may come from professional experience, coaching, playing or other meaningful involvement in team sports 
\n
• An AI-native way of working. You use AI as a genuine part of your everyday work, enjoy trying new tools and, ideally, have built AI-supported content workflows or processes
\n
• The ability to approach people and make things happen. You're proactive and sociable, you're comfortable interviewing and building relationships, and you can take an idea through to execution on your own

• Solid professional experience in content, communications or marketing

This probably isn't the right role if you want a narrowly defined area of responsibility. It could be a very good one if you enjoy ownership, trying new things and turning ideas into action.

Where you'll work

\n

The position is primarily based in Finland. You can work from our Jyväskylä or Helsinki office, or remotely from elsewhere in Finland, provided you can visit our Jyväskylä office occasionally for team meetings and collaboration.

\n

\n

Finland is the preferred location for this role, but exceptional candidates based in the UK or US may also be considered.

\n

\n

The role involves working with an international network of customers and partners.

\n

\n
