Maintenance Manager

AKA White House is hiring for a Maintenance Manager with 5+ years’ maintenance experience!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Function as an ambassador of the AKA culture and AKA brand standards to all team members, residents and vendor relationships and encourage all team members to do the same. Ensure effective communication, maintain a professional and harmonious working relationship between all departments within the property, throughout the AKA brand, other Korman Communities brands and the corporate office leadership team. Lead the maintenance team by providing structure, motivation, coaching, guidance and positive encouragement as necessary to ensure a premier level of service, professionalism, communication. Maintenance Coverage after hours - schedule/execute on-call rotation among maintenance team members to ensure someone is always available to handle service requests outside of normal business hours. Approach all encounters with residents and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Promote a safe, secure and healthy work environment. Maintain resident/guest privacy and confidentiality by protecting all personal information. Have intimate knowledge of surrounding area including but not limited to restaurants, retail, arts, cultural activities, etc. Familiar with emergency and safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school degree or equivalent. Minimum of five years of maintenance experience. General maintenance skills (i.e. plumbing, electric, carpentry). Ability to be flexible with work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays and on-call. Demonstrated strong guest service skills. Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills. Be proactive, energetic, self-motivating and able to motivate others. Meticulous attention to detail. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. AKA White House provides sophisticated accommodations in Washington, D.C.
