About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Tax to serve as the senior tax executive, with a focus on leading tax strategy, compliance, reporting, and audit defense across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing tax due diligence and structuring activities for various strategic transactions, as well as building and developing the corporate tax team. Key responsibilities include overseeing federal, state, and local tax planning, managing ASC 740 tax provisions, and advising executive leadership on a range of tax matters. The role also involves presenting significant tax issues to the Board of Directors and requires a comprehensive understanding of corporate tax compliance, multi-entity structures, and M&A tax planning. Applicants for the Vice President of Tax position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation, with a minimum of 10 years' progressive tax experience. The role demands a candidate with a strong background in leading a corporate tax function and managing tax professionals, particularly those with expertise in corporate tax compliance, ASC 740, and M&A tax planning. A CPA is preferred, and additional qualifications such as an MST, JD, or LLM in taxation are a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience in specialized tax matters, including trust taxation and tax-exempt operations, and be adept at advising on tax risks, planning opportunities, and compliance improvements.
