Description

• Conduct assessments on patients of all ages, employing both standardized tools and observational methods for comprehensive evaluations.
• Create tailored treatment plans catering to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on various aspects like language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanics.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to cultivate unified care approaches.
• Provide education for both patients and families, empowering them to support ongoing progress outside the clinical environment.
• Occasionally engage in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to assure a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise documentation in line with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
• Engage in ongoing educational development to stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you haven't acquired ASHA certification yet.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
