Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that focus on immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions, concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work synergistically with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and families to ensure continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Administer occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining continuity throughout the healing process.
• Ensure precise and prompt documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational norms.
• Engage in ongoing learning to stay abreast of innovations in the field through continuing education and peer interactions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification if applicable.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained 30 days from the start of employment.
