Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions for adult clients, using evidence-based frameworks to address a variety of mental health issues.

• Evaluate and provide brief individual therapy to participants engaged in our Functional Restoration Program (FRP), monitoring their clinical progress throughout the treatment process.

• Perform thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans tailored to the needs of your active caseload, utilizing best practices in pain psychology.
\n
• Engage in group therapy sessions when appropriate, facilitating discussions that promote healing and self-awareness among participants.
\n
• Ensure that all clinical care adheres to the highest legal and ethical standards within mental health practices.
\n
• Collaborate with other professionals within the clinic, referring clients to additional treatment modalities as necessary to support comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clientele at Forward Wellness Counseling encompasses individuals of all ages dealing with a broad spectrum of mental health disorders, particularly those affected by chronic pain and trauma-related issues. You will have the opportunity to utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-oriented approaches to help clients navigate their challenges. Experience working with clients with trauma histories, as well as proficiency in EMDR, will be particularly beneficial in this role.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a current license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington State.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on chronic pain management.

• Demonstrated skills in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for clients.

• Proficient in various therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to CBT, ACT, and mindfulness interventions.

• Experience and comfort working with trauma populations, with a willingness to pursue further training in EMDR as necessary.
