Staff Accountant

A well-established nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles is seeking a hands‑on Staff Accountant to support full‑cycle fund accounting within a large, multi‑program environment. This position focuses on financial reporting, grant compliance, and high‑volume accounting across multiple funding sources. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly invoices and reimbursement requests for grant‑funded programs Generate quarterly and annual financial reports using an ERP system Manage full‑cycle accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger activity Support month‑end and year‑end close, including financial statement preparation and analysis Assist with budgeting, expense allocations, and variance reporting across multiple programs Perform reconciliations and support audit preparation and documentation Ensure compliance with GAAP and grant requirements, maintaining accurate fund tracking Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within nonprofit, fund, or grant accounting Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month‑end close Knowledge of GAAP and compliance requirements Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: Fair Chance Ordinances California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
