Procurement Operations Specialist

Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical company to identify a Procurement Operations Specialist for an opportunity in Durham, NC or Cambridge, MA. Pay rate range $60-$75/hr. (depending on experience) Key Responsibilities Manage the full contract lifecycle, including creation, approvals, execution, renewals, amendments, and termination. Oversee P2P activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, change orders, invoice coordination, and PO closeout. Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, suppliers, and business stakeholders. Manage external workforce processes, including Statement of Work (SOW) creation, approvals, renewals, and extensions. Maintain accurate contract records, budget trackers, and audit documentation. Track and report operational metrics, SLAs, cycle times, and compliance. Drive process improvements, streamline workflows, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Manage procurement intake requests and handle confidential business information with discretion. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, finance, procurement, or a related industry. Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM), P2P processes, and purchase order administration. Hands-on experience with Oracle iProcurement and Coupa; Fieldglass experience preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Tableau or Power BI for reporting and data analysis. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and maintain confidentiality.
