Human Resource Compliance Analyst

Position Summary The Human Resources Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting and strengthening enterprise-wide HR compliance programs and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies. This role partners across HR and business functions to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks while driving consistent and compliant HR practices. The analyst will play a key role in compliance audits, policy governance, reporting, training initiatives, and process improvements that enhance organizational accountability and operational excellence. This position is based in Tampa, FL and is not a remote role. What Will You Do? HR Compliance & Risk Management Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews of HR processes, policies, and documentation to ensure alignment with applicable employment laws and company standards Identify compliance risks and gaps; recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions Monitor and track compliance obligations, audit findings, and remediation efforts across HR functions Maintain documentation and records to support audit readiness and regulatory inquiries Policy Governance & Program Management Support the development, review, and maintenance of HR policies to ensure compliance with evolving employment law requirements Assist in standardizing HR processes, controls, and documentation to strengthen the compliance infrastructure Partner with leadership to ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies Training & Awareness Support the design, coordination, and tracking of compliance‑related training programs (e.g., harassment prevention, code of conduct, workplace policies, employee handbook policies) Monitor training completion and partner with stakeholders to address gaps Contribute to awareness initiatives that promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct Data, Reporting & Analytics Develop and maintain compliance dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools to monitor key risk indicators Track trends (e.g., audit findings, training completion, policy violations) and provide insights to leadership Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure compliant employment practices Support internal and external audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries as neededContribute to HR transformation initiatives by improving compliance‑related workflows and controls What Do You Need? Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Compliance, Audit, or a related field Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to: FLSA FMLA Title VII State and local labor laws Experience supporting HR audits, compliance reviews, or policy governance initiatives preferred Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines High attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical HR guidance and practices Experience writing, reviewing, or maintaining HR policies and standard operating procedures Experience ensuring compliance across multi‑state environments Preferred Experience Experience with paid sick leave laws Experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG Experience supporting internal or external audits (e.g., DOL, EEOC, OFCCP, OSHA) Familiarity with state‑specific compliance requirements (e.g., CA, WA, IL, etc.), which is highly valued #J-18808-Ljbffr Ashley Furniture Industries
