Full Time 182 days/6 hours day

Duties:

• Assist high school special needs students (at their school or in the community) in a variety of work sites.
• Students will have a variety of ability levels.
• Exploration of work sites.
• Skills training at work sites in a variety of areas such as landscape, housekeeping, food service, custodial, office and warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be physically working in the building/site.
• Ability to work with disabled students under the direction of work experience handicapped coordinators.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability / desire to work cooperatively with department and district staff.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Rate of Pay: $18.23/hour to $21.91/hour $18.48/hour to $22.83/hour with AA degree or AAS degree $19.06/hour to $23.248/hour with BA degree.
