Medical Assistant - Dermatology

Job Summary:
- Position: Dermatology Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) - Seattle, WA
- Certification Required: Must be Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C); other MA types not accepted
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts; weekends off
- Contract Type: Temp-to-Hire (expectation to convert to permanent placement)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential for permanent employment
- Experience Required: Minimum 6 months as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic; dermatology experience preferred
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
- On-Call Requirements: None
- Floating: Possible to other clinic locations (West Seattle, Bellevue, Issaquah) for coverage, not daily
- Transportation: Must have reliable personal transportation (no public transit)
- Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
- Uniform/Scrubs: Any color
- Job Duties:
- Obtain and record vital signs
- Prepare patients for exams (positioning/draping, recording history/medications/allergies)
- Set up and assist with dermatology procedures (biopsy, dressing changes, suture removal, wound care)
- Set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays
- Collect and label specimens
- Room patients
- Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic technique
- Clinic Setting: Outpatient dermatology clinic
- Eligibility: Open to both local and non-local (within WA state) candidates; must be willing and able to convert to permanent position if offered
- Other Notes: No additional scheduling restrictions accepted; not eligible if unable/unwilling to go permanent
