As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and work collaboratively with Allied Universal teammates while demonstrating integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of visitor, employee, and contractor activity. Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities. Minimum Requirements: Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent. Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Possess a college degree. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a corrections officer license. Possess a law enforcement officer license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
