As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access points, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
