Certified Payroll SpecialistShift/Hours: Monday - Friday, First Shift 8:00 am-5:00 pm Pay Rate: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Location: Santa Clara, CA Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience as a Certified Payroll SpecialistPrideStaff has an exciting new opportunity to share for a Certified Payroll Specialist in Santa Clara! This position will allow you to assist a bona fide top employer in this market!Certified Payroll Specialist Job Duties include:Manage the complete payroll process, including data entry, wage calculation, deductions, and paycheck preparation.Ensure payroll practices comply with regulations, particularly for government projects and the Davis-Bacon Act.Create certified payroll reports to confirm adherence to prevailing wage and benefit standards.Keep thorough and organized records of payroll, timekeeping, and employee information.Address employee questions and resolve issues related to payroll.Maintain and update payroll systems with new employee data and changes.Other duties as assignedCertified Payroll Specialist Preferred Skills include:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredExperience with prevailing wage, collective bargaining agreements, and DIR desirable.Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent. Familiar with preparation and filing of 940, 941, DE9, and 1095 a plus.Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulationsExperience processing payroll in the construction industryAble to provide 2 professional referencesCertified Payroll Specialist Requirements may include:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with accounting principles and reconciliationsAbility to meet deadlines and work well under pressureProficiency in payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday)Attention to detail and high degree of accuracyMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processingWillingness to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screenBenefits of working with PrideStaff:Medical, Rx, and Wellness BenefitsDental and Vision Plan OptionsShort-term Disability401(k) Retirement PlanHoliday PayJoin Us.
