Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the specific challenges faced by each client.

• Provide education and ongoing support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, effective treatment options, and self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans when necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses the multifaceted needs of clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advances in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and advocating for necessary resources and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your empathetic approach and focus on client-specific needs will enable you to provide effective support and guidance. Our clinic also serves vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring that the therapeutic services provided are compassionate and culturally sensitive.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
