Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions either in the client’s home or remotely, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the unique circumstances of each child or family.

• Provide strategic support to clients, focusing on behaviors such as anger management, coping strategies, and fostering social skills while actively working to mitigate high-risk behaviors like self-injury or aggression.

• Enhance decision-making capabilities of adolescents and their caregivers to address and manage behavioral challenges within the home effectively.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to create and implement integrated treatment plans that support positive outcomes.
\n
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including intake forms, treatment strategies, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, sharing insights and contributing to discussions that enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who are dealing with developmental disabilities and cognitive issues. As a therapist at Wellcure, you will engage with a diverse range of clients, providing crucial support to individuals and their families during challenging times. Your work will play a vital role in enhancing their mental health and well-being, thus fostering a supportive community around them.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is required.
\n
• Availability for a minimum commitment of 5-10 hours weekly, primarily during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with the option for some weekend sessions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A proven background in providing positive behavior support and interventions is essential.

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, specifically those with intellectual or developmental disabilities, is highly desirable.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for travel to client appointments.

• Successful candidates will need to clear a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
