Work Environment\n

This role is conducted primarily in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule. Despite the remote nature of the position, collaboration is highly encouraged through virtual meetings and team oversight at our outpatient clinic. Our outpatient facility in San Antonio acts as a hub for services rendered, where therapists can catch up on team meetings and participate in training sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

The responsibilities as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist include but are not limited to the following:

• Conducting in-home treatment sessions for children and adolescents, focusing on addressing their unique behavioral and emotional needs.
\n
• Facilitating group therapy sessions that emphasize the development of coping strategies, social skills, and anger management to mitigate high-risk behaviors, including Self-Injurious Behavior (SIB) and acts of physical aggression.
\n
• Collaborating closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to develop integrated treatment plans, ensuring each child's needs are effectively addressed.
\n
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation, including intake evaluations, treatment progress notes, and individualized treatment plans, following regulatory and organizational standards.
\n
• Participating actively in team meetings to discuss client progress and contribute insights for treatment optimization.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is focused on providing therapy to a diverse group of children, aged 3 to 20, who present with various developmental and intellectual challenges. You will address specific emotional and behavioral issues, providing tailored support that resonates with each child’s cultural background and family dynamics. Your ability to conduct sessions in Spanish or Portuguese will significantly enhance communication and strengthen therapeutic relationships with families.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• A valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
\n
• Flexibility to work weekends and availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) is preferred.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory for client visits.
\n
• Completion of a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have:

• Previous experience with positive behavior support strategies and therapies.
\n
• Experience working directly with children and adolescents who have intellectual and developmental impairments (I/DD).
\n
• A demonstrated ability to implement therapeutic techniques and interventions effectively, tailored to the unique needs of each young client.

Compensation and Benefits\n
