Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-home therapy sessions or facilitate group therapy sessions through our outpatient virtual center, utilizing evidence-based practices to support client progress.

• Implement therapeutic interventions that target anger management, coping strategies, social skills development, and the reduction of high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Empower both youth and their caregivers with tools and strategies to enhance decision-making skills and effectively address behavioral challenges within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team, aligning your therapeutic goals with those of other professionals to ensure holistic support for each family.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with clinic protocols and state regulations.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and propose recommendations for enhancing therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse range of children aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your expertise will be critical in providing tailored, culturally competent therapy to bilingual families, ensuring both Spanish and Portuguese-speaking clients feel understood and supported.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Current, active, and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (from 4 PM to 7 PM), with additional weekend flexibility preferred.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and employing behavioral intervention strategies.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are essential for in-home visits.
\n
• Completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working directly with children and adolescents with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.
