Emerald Valley PT is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team in Kissimmee, Florida. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality physical therapy services within the home care setting, where you will engage with patients directly in their residences. Your expertise will be vital in assessing, diagnosing, and implementing treatment plans tailored to individuals suffering from various musculoskeletal conditions. Work Environment

In this position, you will work onsite primarily in patients' homes, allowing you to deliver personalized therapy services in a familiar and comfortable environment for the patient. Our clinic operates during standard business hours, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. This schedule not only provides a balanced work-life routine but also allows you to collaborate with our dedicated staff in team meetings and consultations, enhancing the quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to understand the specific needs and goals of each patient, developing individualized treatment plans that encompass evidence-based strategies for recovery.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and physical modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to aid in patient rehabilitation.
• Collaborate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care that aligns with the patient's treatment objectives.
• Educate patients and their families on their diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative strategies involving at-home exercises and lifestyle adjustments.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes following clinic standards to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
• Actively participate in team meetings, contributing ideas for quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals with various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering personalized care that empowers patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Your commitment to empathetic and effective communication will be fundamental in providing support and education to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Current valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; however, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic techniques, rehabilitation protocols, and patient assessment methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal communication abilities, with an aptitude for collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus, contributing to streamlined patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred, though new graduates with a strong academic background and residency completion are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with home health care practices and the unique challenges it presents for physical rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
