Work Environment

The position is based onsite in Kissimmee, Florida, where you will engage directly with patients in a home care facility setting. Patients will receive hands-on therapy in a comfortable and supportive environment, allowing you to provide personalized attention and care that adapts to their individual circumstances. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, providing you with a structured and predictable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' functional goals and needs through comprehensive evaluations.
• Design and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, maintaining a one-to-one focus for each session to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Employ manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and enhance mobility, ensuring that treatments are tailored to each individual.
• Utilize exercise programs as a primary tool to improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall physical function.
• Explore alternatives to surgical procedures, focusing on improving patients' physical capabilities while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Motivate and encourage patients during their rehabilitation process, fostering a supportive environment to promote recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, to maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to enhance overall patient care and outcomes.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness continuously, adjusting care strategies as necessary to meet evolving patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients dealing with orthopedic injuries and conditions. Your work will focus on individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain conditions, and improving functional abilities through structured rehabilitation programs. Your dedication and expertise will make a significant difference in their recovery journeys, helping them regain independence and functionality.

Qualifications

• Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design and implementation.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR software for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting, managing diverse patient cases.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Compensation and Benefits
