Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Center where you will work is designed with the comfort and therapeutic needs of our patients in mind. Located in the vibrant community of Kissimmee, Florida, our facility is well-equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and resources. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Operating Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will enjoy a structured schedule that allows for work-life balance while making a difference in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including assessing physical conditions, reviewing medical history, and diagnosing movement dysfunctions.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, based on clinical assessments and best practices in orthopedic care.
• Implement a range of therapeutic interventions, including hands-on techniques such as massage and movement training, as well as instructing patients in specific exercises to improve strength and flexibility.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes and motivate patients toward recovery milestones.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding at-home care processes, promoting understanding of recovery expectations and self-management strategies.
• Engage in regular consultations with physicians and healthcare teams to discuss patient treatment plans and solicited feedback to enhance overall care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility. Your expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation will allow you to address various conditions such as post-operative recovery, sports injuries, arthritis, and more. Your commitment to personalized care will empower patients in their journey to regain their independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated clinical experience of at least 2 years in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse patient populations and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Dedication to continuing education and staying current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in a rehabilitation center focusing on orthopedic therapies.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation processes.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:
