Machine Operator ll, Sections, 2nd Shift

Description

Kondex Corporation is looking for a Machine Operator to join the Sections department.

Current opening on 2nd shift

$3.00 per hour shift premium

Current 2nd shift hours: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Training will likely occur on 1st shift, Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Load and unload parts from machines while achieving expected rates, which could include one or more advanced machines.
2. Operate basic machines such as shot blaster, tumble blaster, media blaster, tempering oven, robotic stacker, band saw, straightening press, etc. These machines do not have progressions to Machine Operator I.
3. Read prints and routings.
4. Follow established machine settings and parameters.
5. Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment.
6. Perform basic inspections using hand-held measuring devices.
7. Operate lift devices such as boom crane and hand jack.
8. May learn to operate multiple advanced machines in the area to prepare for advancement.
9. May learn set-ups by assisting Operator I.
10. Close orders in computer system.
11. Perform 5S activities, including limited preventative maintenance on equipment.
12. May assist in training other operators within the department.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
2. Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, prints, and inspection criteria.
3. Ability to learn how to operate more complex equipment.
4. Ability to work in a team environment.
5. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
