If you have an interest in psychology and a passion for helping others and want a ton of experience learning about child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, consider a career in the rewarding field of inpatient psychiatry at Four Winds Hospital in Westchester.

Paid four-week orientation consists of two weeks of classroom training from 8:30am-4:30pm, followed by two weeks of on-unit training 12-hour shifts. Once orientation is completed, you will be on a float schedule for five weeks after which you will be assigned to a unit. 

Job highlights  

• Entry level direct-care position with a multidisciplinary treatment team 
• Specialized training in Trauma-informed care (TIC) and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training (TCI) 
• Lead groups 
• 3 shifts per week 
• Flexible schedule with some weekend shifts required 
• Day shifts 8:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Overnight shifts 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2 years experience or associate’s degree 

Salary

• Starting at $20.00/hour
• Opportunities for higher pay with certification in bi-lingual language proficiency 
• Additional for college degree and night differential also offered
