Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, providing you the opportunity to create a balanced work-life structure. Our center is equipped with an experienced support team focused on client services and scheduling, which allows you to concentrate on delivering therapeutic care. With our extended hours, we accommodate client needs seven days a week, from 7 AM to 10 PM, enabling you to provide care at times that suit you and your patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Atascosa, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the mental health status and trauma history of patients.

• Develop and tailor individualized treatment plans that specifically focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in your daily practice.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, engaging patients in discussions to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment approach that meets the holistic needs of clients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate care for those in need.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to aid transitional healing.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all patient interactions are well documented.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid New York State licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
