This position is primarily remote, enabling you to provide therapeutic services from the comfort of your own space. While much of your work will be done through virtual platforms, you will also have access to our outpatient office in the Bronx for in-person client meetings or collaborative team efforts as necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health conditions through interviews and clinically approved diagnostic modalities.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that include measurable goals and effective intervention strategies.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to guide clients in addressing various mental health disorders.

• Implement therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or mindfulness-based approaches tailored to individual client needs.

• Maintain clear and accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Provide coordination of care by referencing clients to other healthcare professionals when necessary, such as psychiatrists or substance abuse specialists.

• Participate in continuous professional development through training, peer consultations, and supervision to enhance clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Relieve Trauma Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele affected by a variety of mental health issues. Common concerns you will encounter include anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma-related conditions, substance use issues, and eating disorders. Your ability to engage with a wide range of patients will be vital to providing inclusive and culturally responsive care tailored to each individual’s unique background and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

• A minimum of four years of direct clinical experience working within mental health settings.

• Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and a commitment to employing evidence-based treatment approaches.

Compensation and Benefits\n
