The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct crisis assessments and interventions for clients experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring they receive immediate support and counseling.

• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams to safeguard client safety during critical situations.

• Provide continuous follow-up care, recommendations for additional support, and create tailored counseling strategies based on client needs.

• Utilize your crisis intervention and de-escalation skills to navigate challenging situations while maintaining a calm and supportive environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as an LMHC will focus on treating a diverse range of clients, including those struggling with addiction, trauma, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. Your ability to empathize and connect with clients from varied backgrounds will be critical in creating an inclusive therapeutic environment. Additionally, experience working with elderly individuals facing age-related mental health issues will be greatly valued.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification that allows you to practice in New York State.

• At least three years of recent experience in providing mental health support and counseling to individuals.

• Familiarity with issues pertinent to the geriatric population and additional training in aging-related mental health concerns is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
