Work Environment\n

As a mental health counselor at our community health clinic, you will primarily work remotely, interacting with clients via secure telehealth platforms, as well as conducting occasional in-person sessions when necessary. Our supportive team environment encourages collaboration and professional development. We maintain flexible hours for client scheduling, operating from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, to accommodate the diverse needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' backgrounds and history.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that focus on individual recovery goals and resilience-building strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to express their feelings, process trauma, and acquire coping skills.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create an integrated care approach for clients.

• Provide urgent care and crisis intervention to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources.

• Ensure detailed and confidential documentation is maintained in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional training focused on trauma and mental health care.

• Stay informed about the latest trends and research in trauma therapy to continually improve client care.

Your primary clients will include individuals and families who have experienced trauma, stress, and anxiety. You will work with a motivated patient demographic that is eager to engage in their healing process. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) within the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 110,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
