As a Medical Receptionist with OrthoArizona, you’ll get to Answer phone in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screen, and route calls as needed, create phone notes in the patient electronic medical record, and provide information to patients. Serve as the 1st point of contact for our patients: greet, check‑in, check‑out, and provide excellent patient service. Manage schedule, assist with insurance verification and other physical therapy insurance requirements. Support physical therapy staff by keeping the front desk organized and running smoothly. Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart. Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and/or uploading to the correct patient chart. Assist with other duties as needed during down time. Carry out all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Include Excellent customer / patient service. Knowledge of medical terminology. Working knowledge of computer programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform training on practice management software. Willingness to continue expanding knowledge of practice management software as updates occur. Follow all standard operating procedures. Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Preferred Experience At least one year of medical office experience. Bilingual is a plus. Basic phone handling skills – Contact Center experience. Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process.
