Details Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) setting within a hospital Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30), 36 hours per week Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday nights) Floating required within OSU Epic charting system experience preferred Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Previous telemetry experience required Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips required Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills required Experience with rapid response/code teams Skilled in peripheral line care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and oxygen administration including nasal cannula Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; coworker references not accepted Additional Information Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response care to progressive care patients Candidates with only 1 year of experience will require manager review prior to offer First-time travelers are welcome to apply Locals accepted at the same rate Former employees eligible for assignment after 6 months away from the facility Current employees are ineligible for travel positions at any Ohio State University hospital location RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed urgently upon contract signing due to strict compliance deadlines These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates. The $2,077 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines.
