About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Must be able to pass the Telemetry test Experience monitoring Telemetry patients Float required within the facility Two references required; one from a manager or supervisor Description: This is a night position focusing on Progressive Care. Responsibilities include managing and monitoring post-surgical patients. Candidates with one year of experience may need to be reviewed by the manager. Experience with telemetry monitoring is essential. Floating to other areas may be required if not needed on the home unit. The patient-to-nurse ratio in the Progressive Care Unit is aimed to be maintained at 3-4:1 for optimal care. Interdisciplinary support includes services such as Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with various post-surgical needs. Applicants must have valid certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. The ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage complex patient care is critical. Responsibilities may include blood product administration, IV management, and wound care. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using electronic charting systems. Travelers must complete all credentialing requirements promptly to ensure compliance. References must be provided, ensuring one is from a formal leadership position.
