Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a collaborative and growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning general ledger accounting processes, leading month-end activities, improving efficiencies, and mentoring team members in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys balancing day-to-day accounting operations with process improvement initiatives. This role offers broad exposure across general accounting, payroll, compliance, and systems while working closely with cross-functional teams. What You’ll Do Lead and coordinate the monthly accounting close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financials Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, and account analysis Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations Administer payroll processing and reconcile accounts Coordinate sales and use tax filings and annual 1099 reporting Support SOX compliance activities, maintain internal controls, and identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes Partner with internal teams and external auditors to provide requested documentation and support Supervise and mentor staff by reviewing work, providing guidance, and supporting professional development Serve as a SME of the ERP system, helping optimize workflows Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability What We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience leading or mentoring accounting staff Experience with ERP systems, and working through optimization Experience processing payroll Credible experience managing general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and internal controls Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to streamline processes and enhance efficiencies Why Join?
