Business Process Engineer

???? Northern, VA area
???? Full-Time | On-site | Position Contingent Upon Award

We're looking for a Business Process Engineer with a background in process modeling, operational analysis, and IT lifecycle optimization to support critical federal and intelligence community initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze and evaluate current business processes for efficiency and effectiveness
Design and implement improvements using process modeling and mapping tools
Integrate methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall to optimize IT system development and lifecycle performance
Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators and desired outcomes
Develop detailed documentation for process flows and improvement plans
Recommend process enhancements and monitor implementation success
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align business goals with operational processes

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business process engineering
Demonstrated experience with business process management (BPM) tools
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, and related methodologies
Proficiency with process modeling tools such as Visio or ARIS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Active security clearance (or ability to obtain, if applicable)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience supporting federal government or intelligence community customers
Lean Six Sigma certification
Familiarity with enterprise transformation initiatives or digital modernization efforts
Experience working in multi-disciplinary project environments

Education and Experience Requirements

Candidates must meet the following minimum education and relevant experience combinations by level:

Entry Level:

HS/GED + 6 years experience
Associate's + 4 years experience
Bachelor's + 2 years experience
Master's degree (experience may be substituted as appropriate)

Journeyman Level:

HS/GED + 8 years experience
Associate's + 6 years experience
Bachelor's + 4 years experience
Master's + 2 years experience

Senior Level:

HS/GED + 10 years experience
Associate's + 8 years experience
Bachelor's + 6 years experience
Master's + 4 years experience
PhD + 2 years experience

Expert / Master Level:

HS/GED + 12 years experience
Associate's + 10 years experience
Bachelor's + 8 years experience
Master's + 6 years experience
PhD + 4 years experience
