Key Responsibilities Conducting thorough initial assessments of clients to identify their mental health and substance abuse needs, employing diagnostic tools and interviewing techniques to gather relevant information. Developing individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessment findings, setting measurable goals that align with the client's aspirations and recovery objectives. Providing evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic approaches tailored to the specific needs of clients. Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies, ensuring that each client's progress is well-documented. Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team, participating in regular case reviews and treatment planning meetings to optimize client outcomes. Offering crisis intervention services and support as required, carefully assessing emergency situations and implementing appropriate therapeutic strategies swiftly. Staying current with the latest trends, research, and best practices in mental health and substance abuse treatment through continued education and professional development. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field. Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) within the state of Florida. A minimum of two years of experience in providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services, demonstrating expertise in therapeutic interventions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with team members. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, leveraging diverse perspectives for holistic care. Proficient organizational skills and adeptness in time management, ensuring the completion of clinical documentation and treatment goals in a timely manner. Preferred Experience Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred as this will facilitate streamlined documentation and client management. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
