Work Environment\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with both colleagues and clients through a secure telehealth platform, ensuring consistent communication and engagement. You will work closely with supervisors, peers, and multidisciplinary teams to create an integrated approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

• Document patient interactions meticulously, ensuring compliance with agency requirements and legal standards regarding treatment plans, outcome assessments, and psychosocial evaluations.

• Participate actively in weekly clinical supervision sessions with the clinical director or lead therapist, contributing to a culture of continuous professional development and peer support.

• Maintain a caseload of patients, managing bookings and scheduling to ensure timely access to care, while applying strong time management skills.

• Engage with patients to assess their progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary, fostering a supportive and responsive therapeutic environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on child and adolescent patients, offering therapeutic support to young individuals and their families. You may also have opportunities for cross-training to work with adult clients, expanding your expertise in therapeutic practices across diverse age groups. Your role will contribute significantly to the emotional and psychological well-being of young patients, guiding them through challenges such as anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health issues.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is a minimum requirement. A Master’s or Doctorate in a relevant area is preferred.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and an ability to relate to diverse client populations.

• Demonstrated understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
