Rapid Response Nurse (RRN), ICU, Full Time, Days

Overview The Rapid Response Nurse (RRN) is a crucial member of a Rapid Response Team that provides immediate clinical support within and outside the critical care setting. The RRN delivers immediate, specialized care to patients experiencing acute medical emergencies. This role responds rapidly to medical crises, stabilizes patients, and ensures safe transitions to appropriate levels of care across hospital areas including outpatient services. The RRN assesses patients, initiates life-saving interventions, coordinates with other healthcare professionals, and provides clinical insights to prevent further deterioration of patient health. The RRN independently utilizes the nursing process to safely, therapeutically, and efficiently care for a group of patients based on policies and procedures. Delivery of individualized quality patient care occurs through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments, and the patient’s family. Compliance with the California Nurse Practice Act is required. Responsibilities Assess patients and initiate life-saving interventions as part of the rapid response team.
